One month after elections in Russia that were essentially rigged to prevent any competition from defeating Vladimir Putin, Mr. Putin was forced to appear before Parliament in Russia to report his goals for Russia during this (his third) presidential term. Russian citizens have voiced opposition to the elections last month and Parliament is considering a law which would limit a leader to two terms. Currently, a Russian president may not serve more than two consecutive terms, but there are no limits on non-consecutive terms. Mr. Putin stated that although he did not think term limits were a bad thing, he personally would not be affected because the law cannot be retroactive. What do you think about this?
